As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on real-world cloud-native applications by designing and developing microservices for Nirmata's SaaS platform. You'll gain practical experience with AI, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Prometheus, TimeScale, observability, automation, and modern backend engineering.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen your programming skills, contribute to open-source initiatives, collaborate with experienced software engineers, and build scalable enterprise software using modern cloud technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist in designing, developing, and deploying microservices for the Nirmata SaaS platform.

- Write clean, maintainable code using Go or Java while following software engineering best practices.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

- Improve system reliability, observability, and automation using Kubernetes, Prometheus, and TimeScale.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new product features.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and support software quality improvements.

- Contribute to internal engineering tools, open-source projects, and technical blogs.

- Take ownership of small engineering projects and present completed work to the team.

- Learn cloud-native technologies through hands-on development and mentorship.

- Continuously improve technical knowledge and software engineering skills.

Qualifications & Eligibility

- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.

- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

- Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.

- Basic hands-on programming experience with Java and Go.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to demonstrate academic or personal software projects.
