SiFive is hiring Engineer 1 for its Hardware Engineering (Design Verification) team in Hyderabad. This opportunity is ideal for early-career engineers who are passionate about computer architecture, processor design, hardware verification, and RISC-V technology.
As an Engineer 1, you will work with a world-class engineering team responsible for verifying complex CPU pipelines and memory subsystems. 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰
As an Engineer 1 in the Hardware Engineering (Design Verification) team, you will verify the architectural and microarchitectural correctness of the Memory Management Unit (MMU) within advanced RISC-V CPU designs. You'll develop verification test cases, analyze functional coverage, debug hardware issues, and collaborate closely with design and architecture teams to ensure reliable processor performance.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to build expertise in CPU verification, hardware design methodologies, and advanced semiconductor technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform block-level and subsystem-level verification of the Memory Management Unit (MMU).
- Verify Translation Lookaside Buffers (TLBs), page table walkers, and memory protection mechanisms.
- Develop, execute, and debug directed and random verification test cases.
- Analyze functional and code coverage to identify verification gaps.
- Create assertions and cover groups to improve verification quality.
- Collaborate with hardware designers and architects to understand processor specifications.
- Investigate design issues, identify root causes, and validate bug fixes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodologies and automation.
- Maintain technical documentation related to verification activities.
- Work effectively within a collaborative engineering team following industry best practices.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1+ year of experience in hardware design verification or related areas.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and CPU design fundamentals.
- Good knowledge of processor pipelines, cache architecture, virtual memory, and paging mechanisms.
- Programming knowledge of Verilog.
- Basic scripting knowledge using Python, Perl, or Bash.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
