As a Software Engineer, you will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems for mission-critical applications. You will work with operating systems such as Linux and VxWorks, develop software components using C and C++, and contribute to system integration, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
This role is well-suited for candidates interested in embedded software development, system programming, networking, and distributed architectures.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop software applications and system components using C and C++ for complex engineering and defense systems.
• Work on Linux, VxWorks, and other real-time operating system environments to build reliable software solutions.
• Develop and maintain software running in multi-threaded and multi-process environments.
• Design and implement tools that help improve software development, testing, and debugging activities.
• Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying, analyzing, and resolving software issues reported during testing or from customer environments.
• Perform root cause analysis for system failures and contribute to long-term technical improvements.
• Develop diagnostic and testing modules that improve system reliability and maintainability.
• Work on distributed software architectures where multiple systems communicate and exchange data.
• Implement and support communication interfaces using protocols such as Serial, Ethernet, CAN, ModBus, NMEA, and MIL-STD-1553.
• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure smooth interaction between software and hardware components.
• Analyze system performance, scalability, and interoperability challenges.
• Participate in software reviews, testing activities, and documentation processes.
Qualifications & Eligibility
• B.E. / B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of programming and operating system fundamentals.
• Passion for software development and engineering problem-solving.
Skills Required
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Good understanding of operating system concepts.
• Knowledge of Linux-based development environments.
• Understanding of multi-threading and multi-process programming.
• Familiarity with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) concepts.
